School benches and paving work for the Mission Destiny school in Mubende
The first donations were received shortly after our appeal for donations in our last Friends’ Letter. Many new school desks have been handmade by carpenters. Obtaining wood was a bit of a challenge, as a lot of building is done in the region. In the end, everything turned out well.
The pupils will be delighted when school starts at the end of January.
Paving work in the girls’ dormitory at Mission Destiny School
Thanks to donations, extensive plastering work could be carried out in the dormitories of the Mission Destiny school. Some insects had collected in the holes in the walls, coming out of their cracks at night and approaching the beds. We are grateful that this problem has now been solved in the girls’ dormitory.
Expansion of the rainwater system at Mission Destiny School
The repair and extension of the rainwater system was completed just in time for the start of the school year. Additional rain gutters have been installed on 2 buildings and the rain gutters on the main building have been repaired. The large cistern can now gradually fill up and cover the pupils’ still large water requirements.
