Evangelism team: Communicating the love of God to prisoners
We regularly conduct evangelistic outreaches with a team of Ugandans. Organized 3-5 day outreaches are planned in localities where the Gospel is not yet well known, as well as outreaches to refugee camps, prisons, events and schools.
Becoming active in God’s Kingdom
We visit a prison near Kasambya with about 500 imprisoned men. In cooperation with a local church, we celebrate a church service in the prison. At the end of the evangelistic service, 20 men invite Jesus Christ into their lives. Among many prisoners there is a great desire to have their own Bibles. Mission UP will provide the prisoners with enough Bibles. Furthermore, Mission UP distributed soap, razor blades and a large watch. The inmates are touched that they are, literally, “also perceived as people” who have their needs and about whom someone cares.
Mission UP would like to expand prison ministry in other prisons as well, proclaiming the Gospel there, sharing the good news and God’s love with prisoners.
