Outreach team/evangelization team
Our outreach team for evangelism has been on the road a lot again, this time in western Uganda. In March in the Mubende region and in April in the Masindi region. We preached, distributed Bibles, provided practical help and prayed.
Masindi has been severely affected by various problems, including high school dropout rates (especially among girls), a growing number of orphans due to the AIDS pandemic, and ongoing instability due to past conflicts such as the Lord’s Resistance Army insurgency and ADF activities. In addition, the region has received a large number of refugees from neighboring countries such as South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
This mission served as an initial exploration – an opportunity to test the area practically in preparation for a long-term, structured commitment. The aim was to minister publicly in at least three prisons, selected schools and hospitals, as well as when the opportunity arose.
The Mission Up team consisted of five dedicated employees who each took on specific tasks. Everyone knew what they had to do during this mission. We thank God for this successful mission.
